Abstract In this paper, an attempt was made to understand whether the ideological proposal of the muqāwamah (Islamic resistance), advanced by Ḥizballāh from 1982 until the present day, can be considered as a national value that is valid not only for the Shia community, but also for other communities, such as Christian or Sunni.
